I bought two old Germain scopes on estate sale . One is 4x, and the other 6x. I had an intention to put one of them on my mil surplus rifle (Swiss K31). The problem is that either scope has only one wheel, which moves reticle up or down, but there is nothing to move the reticle in the horizontal plane. The scope is attached to the mount with weaver rings. i can’t even bore sight it. Is there any trick, or I should get rid of them all together? The clarity is great, on the other had. One is S & B, an the other says Franconia Waffen. Thank you.

When we look at the starting price, why do some sellers us .00 as the beginning offer? What is the benefit to that? I was searching for vintage rings and was shocked to find this. Is it a hoax?

Could be jewlery stores, or even cases in a clothing boutique, whatever… any ideas?

Additional info: I’m planning on buying a ring or some other piece of jewelery for my sister as a university graduation gift.
She is a designer so I really want to avoid anything generic and want to move towards something dramatic, art deco or even something sweet (like a gentle pearl string bracelet.. as long as it is not forgettable). I don’t want to go to an "expensive" store but I’m willing to spend up to a few hundred for a unique quality piece because it’s something I want her to have forever.

I recently purchased a really attractive phone — retro lines without looking self-consciously vintage — with good sound and all the options we need. The problem lies in the ringer, the worst of the worst electronic tweets. So bad it makes us wince. At this point my only option is to turn off the ringer and keep our old model plugged in in another part of the apartment — not ideal. Is it possible to purchase an add on ringer, something that would offer that old fashioned bell ring that I could install between the telephone jack and the phone itself. I’ve never warmed up to the electronic ringing sounds, and have even gone so far as to keep a vintage phone plugged in just for the sound (it broke last year). Do add-on ringer "boxes" even exist? Thanks.

I have a vintage floor lamp that has two brass pull chain sockets. The tops are the type that look like a regular socket cap that has a screw-on ring with a set screw. I need two caps that do not have the screw-on ring with a set screw and have a solid bowl. I have unsuccesfully tried eBay. Any suggestions?
